The latest TV spot trailer for Spectre has emerged with new but fleeting appearances for Bond co-stars Ben Whishaw, Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux and Dave Bautista.
Following the earlier dramatic teaser trailer, this one minute TV spot reprises parts of the original teaser trailer from a few weeks ago but contains additional footage of traditional action sequences for Bond, and a welcome rendition of one of Bond’s iconic lines.
Spectre is out later this year and follows on directly from Skyfall and we can expect a full trailer for the film to emerge in the summer.
The official synopsis reveals this much about the film:
“A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE.
“The locations for SPECTRE include Pinewood London, Mexico City, Rome, Tangier and Erfoud, Morocco. Bond is also back in the snow, this time in Sölden, Austria as well as Obertilliach and Lake Altaussee.
“The 24th Bond outing will also see a brand new Aston Martin designed specially for this film called the DB10.”
The Aston Martin DB10 is filmed in a chase sequence driving through Rome for the movie and in the modern era of social media, behind the scenes video footage has been released on the official James Bond Youtube channel to ramp up the expectation.
Daniel Craig is slated to appear in one more film after Spectre but co-financiers and distributors Sony Pictures might have helped produce their last Bond movie.
Their multi-picture deal with cash-strapped Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer ends this year and Hollywood industry magazine Variety has suggested that Warner Brothers could be in the running to replace Sony.
